The Women Behind the Tea: Honoring Strength & Legacy

The Women Behind the Tea: Honoring Strength & Legacy

March is National Women’s History Month, a time to uplift the stories of women who have shaped industries, led movements, and built legacies. At Cured Leaves Tea CO., we don’t just celebrate women this month, we honor them with every sip, every connection, and every story we share.

From the women farmers across Africa who skillfully cultivate each tea leaf, to the heart and vision behind our company itself, women are at the foundation of everything we do. This month, we paused to acknowledge the women who pour their passion into every step of our journey, starting with our founder.

At the center of Cured Leaves Tea is a woman whose love for tea runs deeper than flavor, it’s about storytelling, connection, and reclaiming the narrative of African-grown tea. She saw the need to bridge the gap between tea producers in Africa and a global market that too often overlooks the source. Her mission was clear:

✔ To highlight and support African farmers—especially women
✔ To deliver premium, ethically sourced teas rooted in heritage
✔ And to build a brand that centers community, mindfulness, and sustainability.

Women’s History Month is about recognizing the past, but it’s also about shaping the future. When we celebrate the women behind our tea, from the farm to the front office, we’re investing in a world where equity, dignity, and empowerment are steeped into every part of the supply chain.

How You Can Support Women in Tea

💛 Choose teas that are ethically sourced and directly support women farmers
💛 Share the stories of the women behind your favorite products
💛 Sip mindfully knowing your purchase fuels change

At Cured Leaves Tea, we are proud to be woman-founded and purpose-driven. This month, we raise our cups to the women who grow, lead, and inspire.
