Tea Profiles 

Green tea is packed with antioxidants like EGCG (epigallocatechin-3-gallate) that helps your body fight against free radicals that can harm your body. Green tea is also known to help in many other ways, as well, and is considered the “go to” tea beverage to support healthy lifestyle. Green tea will keep your body in fighting shape and protect you against unwanted invaders. 
Caffeine Level: Low
Steeping: 3 grams (1-2 tsp) of tea per 6oz (200ml) filtered water; medium boil (165-170⁰F) for 3-4 minutes

Oolong teas span the huge gap between green and black tea. Because of this they are packed with varying health properties of both. This has been a recent “go to” tea for dieticians to help their clients on several fronts. If you are looking to get yourself into fighting shape and become healthier this should be your go to tea!
Caffeine Level: Low/Medium
Steeping: 3 grams (1-2 tsp) of tea per 6oz (200ml) filtered water; near boiling (195-200⁰F) for 3-5 minutes

Black tea is full of antioxidants, but instead of EGCG (found in green tea), black tea has Thearubigin (TR) and Teaflavin (TF). These antioxidants are produced in the leaf during the oxidation process which turns the green leaf to shades of brown and black. Black tea has been found to support a healthy body in varying ways that are different from green tea. Drink both black and green teas to get the most benefit from your teas!
Caffeine Level: Medium/High
Steeping: 3 grams (1-2 tsp) of tea per 6oz (200ml) filtered water; near boiling (195-200⁰F) for 4-6 minutes

Purple tea is produced from the leaves of the camellia sinensis plant, which is the same plant from which black, green, oolong, and other types of tea are made. Unlike other types of tea, however, the leaves of this new varietal are purple instead of green. Purple tea is also very high in anthocyanins, the beneficial compounds found in blueberries, eggplant, purple grapes and other blue, purple or dark red foods.

White tea comes from the tender unfurled leaf buds. The plants natural defense system, which are called secondary metabolites, keep the new growth safe and healthy. Since white tea is the least process tea these same elements also support a healthy body.
